Who We are Looking For
The Regional Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for creating long-term and profitable relationships with local and national decision makers within the retail food and beverage industry. He/She will Develop and expand sales with responsibility of a defined list of accounts in assigned territory. You will also manage and grow sales by the identification and development of new customers and the execution of strategies relating to pricing, promotion, and distribution for both existing and new customers with an emphasis on growth focused retail stores. This person will also be responsible for recommending new and trending product and categories to add to the PlanBased portfolio.
What You Will Do
- Develop plan to meet assigned sales objectives.
- Develop promotional programs to meet assigned volume objectives and ensure programs are properly executed.
- Develop distribution plans to meet assigned volume objective and ensure plans are properly executed.
- Develop pricing plans to meet assigned volume objectives and ensure plans are properly executed.
- Identify, develop and grow a network of regional / national Direct Store Distributors to expand presence in the retail / grocery channel.
- Identify define and communicate specific customer product needs.
- In conjunction with the management team establish annual sales budget.
- Trained and aware of SQF requirement including but not limited to the reporting of all food safety, quality and defense issues.
- Demonstrated sales achievements with existing relationships in key retail chains.

- Strong broker management skills.
- Demonstrate ability to overcome obstacles and be a problem solver. Work with Customer Service and Quality Assurance departments to respond to and quickly resolve customer and consumer issues.
- Nurturing skills to manage customers and brokers on a day-to-day basis.
- Demonstrate Leadership and coaching abilities.
- Analyze data and market trends to formulate sound business decisions.
- Prepare and conduct effective sales presentations to customers and broker partners.
- Possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to research to gain insights and knowledge into our partners’ business opportunities with a focus on creating recommended solutions to senior managements.
Who You Are
- Must reside in near a metro area in one of the following states: NY, PA, DC, MA, NJ, DE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years’ experience selling retail food and beverage products to national and local grocery chains, gas stations, and specialty shops
